Tutoring 2.0
Learn how to learn. Discover all you're capable of.
What if you didn't just learn more — but learned how to learn, how to focus, how to create, and how to master the things that feel hard right now?
Alston is a personalised program, one-to-one with a coach who's more mentor than teacher. You'll develop the skills underneath exceptional learning and performance: motivation, focus, creativity, flow and mastery.
You'll build these directly inside what actually matters to you — your schoolwork, your interests, your challenges, your goals.
-
We typically work with students in Years 7–12, but age is not a strict requirement. We’re more interested in understanding what each student needs, where they want to go, and how we can best support them.
The programme has been developed with gifted and twice-exceptional (2E) students in mind, and we welcome families to get in touch to explore whether Alston is the right fit for their child.
-
10 × 60-minute individual sessions
Delivered online, weekly over 10 weeks or twice weekly over 5.We begin with a baseline assessment of your child's strengths, challenges, learning patterns and goals. Their programme then develops around both their needs and the things they are actually trying to achieve.
Their current schoolwork, projects and interests become the laboratory for learning.
Throughout the programme, we integrate learning science, human performance, flow training and philosophical health coaching — creating a practical understanding of how to learn, perform and flourish.
Parents receive regular updates on progress, including both academic development and the conditions in which their child is most engaged and alive.
By the end of the programme
Your child won't simply have completed ten tutoring sessions.
They'll have a personal understanding of how they learn and perform, a set of strategies they can continue using independently, and a clearer sense of what they're capable of.
The aim is not simply better grades.
It's a young person who knows how to learn, knows how to stretch themselves, and knows how to pursue what matters to them.

Life Architecture Coaching
What makes you feel fully alive?
A personalised 8-session experience for young people aged 15–17, grounded in philosophical counselling — using questions philosophers have asked for centuries to help you think clearly about your own life.
Across eight one-to-one sessions, you'll sit with questions of identity, meaning, ethics and self-expression, guided by a coach invested in who you're becoming. You'll look across the domains that actually make up a life — physical, emotional, financial, relational, purpose — and start to understand how they connect, and where you stand in each.
You'll examine your own beliefs, notice where they came from, and decide which ones are actually yours — forming a personal worldview that's genuinely your own. You'll explore contribution, connection and what a life well-lived means to you, specifically.
Along the way, you'll join a global community of people your age sitting with many of the same questions. You'll have people to think alongside, be challenged by, and grow with.
Your coach works alongside you throughout, helping you connect the dots across every domain, toward a clearer, steadier sense of who you are and how you want to live.
